Dr. Conn's background is impressive. Trained in ophthalmic plastic laser surgery, general surgery, eye surgery, and skin care, Dr. Conn specializes in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery for the eyelids, facial skin, orbit, and tear drainage system. He graduated from medical school in 1973 and received his training at Harvard University and the Johns Hopkins Wilmer Institute. He went on to complete a most prestigious fellowship in ophthalmic plastic surgery at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute.

Laser Expertise

In 1978, Dr. Conn was among the first physicians in the country to operate on the human body with lasers. He performed laser surgery to seal blood vessels of the retina in the back of the eye at Johns Hopkins Hospital. In 1987, Dr. Conn was once again among the first physicians to receive training in the use of the laser for cosmetic eyelid and orbital surgery. Dr. Conn has served as a medical consultant in the development of laser technology to laser manufacturers and has helped train medical professionals in the safety and use of the laser for eyelid surgery and skin rejuvenation. Most recently the world's premier laser manufacturer, Coherent Laser has requested slides of his work to be used as model photographs to show the marvels of laser cosmetic surgery in the hands of the skilled.
