Laser Expertise
In 1978, Dr. Conn was
among the first physicians in the country to operate on the human body
with lasers. He
performed laser surgery to seal blood vessels of the retina in the back
of the eye at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
In 1987, Dr. Conn was once again among the first physicians to receive
training in the use of the laser for
cosmetic eyelid and orbital surgery. Dr. Conn has served as a medical
consultant in the development of
laser technology to laser manufacturers and has helped train medical
professionals in the safety and use
of the laser for eyelid surgery and skin rejuvenation. He was a
scientific advisor for the development of the
Fraxel Laser System and designed the eyelid handpiece for the Fraxel
re:pair Laser System.
